Hi all! Today's blog post will be on Google Earth. Enjoy!

Check out Brody's screencast!

Google Earth is "a computer program that renders a 3D representation of Earth based primarily on satellite imagery. The program maps the Earth by superimposing satellite images, aerial photography, and GIS data onto a 3D globe, allowing users to see cities and landscapes from various angles". Google Earth has so much potential to be used in a social studies classroom. Students could look at the actual places that we are studying in the classroom. I love that Google Earth also has capabilities to use street view, so that students could even look at the architecture of the buildings that we study!
